Born and bred as a German manufacturer, the company has been in existence since 1923. In the same year, they released their first motorcycle – and first vehicle – in their long history. During the following decades, the brand built itself on European sales by shattering world speed records and winning race after race. The same can be said today with the infamous super sportbike, the BMW S1000RR. Available to the public, it offered a whopping 199 horsepower. However popular the BMW brand is, it could not have become the success it is today without the GS-Series. The dual-sport bike offered performance both on-road and off, which was unheard of in the 1970s and 80s. It’s become one of the most well-sold bike segments in history.
